Preparing for Life as a Professional Musician
Our faculty and staff come from a variety of professional arenas, including academic (both secondary and post secondary), chamber music and orchestral. We are pleased to help the students understand the ramifications of the choices they make, provide them with the process each of us went through arriving at our professional choices, and to share with them our understanding of the challenges they will face.

Professional Development
Students on a professional track will receive the training necessary to build upon their technical and artistic foundation, moving them towards success in the competitive world of professional music. The relationships they build will provide important links to future stages of professional development.

Balanced Approach to Living
Professional musicians lead very demanding lives and need to develop skills that address both the physical and emotional stress of that lifestyle. Our Interdisciplinary Classes, Outdoor Activities, and our focus on developing character, and interpersonal effectiveness, lay the foundation for a balanced approach to living for our students who desire to pursue music on a professional level.

The Musician as Athlete
Our focus on preparing our students for the physical demands of life as a professional musician lays the foundation for a healthy approach to playing, reducing the risk of future injury. This is reinforced by physical vigor, such as regular stretching and aerobic outdoor activities.

Rocky Mountain Summer Conservatory is dedicated to preparing and equipping professional musicians to function effectively over the long term in the professional world.
