Private Lessons
The broad goals of the private lessons are to

develop the student's recognized school of playing
improve individual practicing techniques
encourage goal-setting habits

Upon arrival at RMSC, students receive private teacher assignments, which are based upon student requests and teacher workload. It is advisable to contact individual faculty members concerning studio availability during the application process.

Faculty e-mail addresses are available on the faculty page.

Students receive a minimum of 1 hour of private instruction per week. Lessons take place during the students' scheduled practice hours.

Repertoire
Our faculty members focus upon repertoire that is requested by the student's regular private teacher, as well as assigned chamber music. These lessons provide a great opportunity to prepare for fall auditions and other performance opportunities.

Goals
Faculty members and students work together to determine lesson goals. Technical considerations and suggestions are made within the context of the student's recognized school of playing.
